Day 1: Pickup from Kigali, transfer to Bwindi National Park

Our Driver/Tour guide will pick you up in Kigali in the morning and drive to Bwindi National Park. The drive to Uganda will go through Rwanda’s northern town of Musanze (Ruhengeri, Rwanda). You will then cross over into Uganda via the land border. The trip continues to Bwindi National Park. The journey from Kigali to Bwindi National Park will take approximately 5 hrs.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking

You will head to the Bwindi National Park immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The presentation will be conducted by the national park guide and will cover the basics of what to expect during the trek. It is at this point that you will be told which gorilla family to trek. You will likely be joined by other visitors. The gorilla trek can take from few to many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest.

Note: Depending on the availability of gorilla trekking permits, we might suggest trekking the gorillas at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Day 3: Transfer from Bwindi National Park to Kigali

This will be the last day of the 3-day gorilla trek. We will drive from Bwindi National Park to Kigali. The drive from Bwindi National Park to Kigali is scheduled for 5hrs. Before driving to Kigali, you can visit Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for golden monkey trekking (at an extra fee).
